An expertise in nutrition at the brand origin…

A third generation doctor, Marie Béjot specialises in nutrition, drawing on experiences from both her childhood spent in Africa and her father’s passion (he was a botanist) for nature and medicinal plants.

Nutrition was also viewed as a means of preserving health and preventing being taken ill in her family growing up and it was this vision which led her to study nutrition and has subsequently guided her and Oenobiol throughout the years.

Marie Béjot would open her first aesthetics surgery in Paris in 1978, specialising on treating signs of ageing as well as patients who were overweight. She has always been keenly aware of the importance of nutrition as part of her practice, routinely and actively monitoring what her patients eat so they get the most out of their treatment.

This synergistic approach to nutrition led to her starting up her own company alongside her husband to develop and market food supplements in France, with Oenobiol launching in 1985. The first product offered was a moisturiser containing essential fatty acids.
